Description

The primary use for a buckler shield is to protect the sword hand. The curved center makes it easy to use to deflect blows from a sword. If directly attacked by an assailant punching with this shield with its flat face or its rim can do some serious damage to your opponent. Buckler shields were also widely used by Archers in the middle Ages.
